The owners of award-winning Garden Gate Get-A-Way B&B have a new lodging choice as of October 2009. We have opened two romantic, luxury cottage rentals on the same property as the bed and breakfast.
Our cottages in Ohio are perfect for honeymoons and romantic weekend getaways. Lose yourself in luxury with a peninsula fireplace, Roman-style Jacuzzi tub, vaulted ceilings, Amish-made queen bed with pillow-soft mattress and 600 thread-count, cotton-sateen sheets, private bath with luxury amenities and soft, sumptuous bathrobes, a kitchenette with Amish-made cabinets, mini microwave and refrigerator, plus a 23-foot porch with a view of the field of horses next door. The 'icing on the cake' is our location. We are situated on a rolling hill, surrounded by Amish neighbors in a peaceful, relaxing setting and yet we are close to dining, attractions, and shopping.
Start your romantic rendezvous with a welcome cheese & cracker plate that includes locally made cheeses, a chilled bottle of sparkling juice, and a chocolate sampler from Coblentz Chocolate Company.
Cottage guests can sit on the private porch, sip wine, and view the field of horses next door. An outdoor privacy shade will block the view of the neighboring cottage offering a more intimate experience. You are invited to the evening campfire on the property that is also attended by bed and breakfast guests. Bring your own beverage and watch the stars come out.
With all of the scrumptious food in Amish Country to taste, we're offering a lighter breakfast. Each day you will find a homemade coffeecake, made from scratch, in your kitchenette. In addition we'll have a bowl of fresh fruit, bottled orange juice, plus we have stocked your cupboards with Wolfgang Puck coffee, assorted Bigelow teas, and hot chocolate that you can make.
It is our wish that you have a most memorable stay in Amish Country. Your innkeepers live on the same property and are on-call 24/7 to insure that any questions or special services that you may request can be met. We can make fine dining reservations, set up couple massages in your cottage, arrange for special occasion packages, set up a horse-drawn sleigh ride, etc.

COTTAGE POLICIES: Each cottage can accommodate a maximum of 2
adults (Sorry, not appropriate for children). No smoking. No pets. No Candles. No coolers
inside the cottage. There is a $300 cleaning fee for guests that don't
abide by the no smoking/pets policy. CANCEL POLICY: $25 administrative fee for reservations canceled up to 15 days prior to arrival; Reservations canceled 14 to 8 days prior to arrival will be charged 50% of the reservation cost; No shows, or cancellations 7 days or less prior to arrival date, are subject to payment in full of the entire reservation including special occasion packages/massage reservations.

WINE & DINE: Wine-Tasting Tour Weekends

The
best part of this tour is the designated driver! (and the food, and the
wine, and the stops...) Check-in on Friday. Saturday after breakfast
you can visit a few shops or attractions in Amish Country before
boarding our bus for a fun-filled tour. We'll stop at Heini's Gourmet
Market where you will be given some vouchers for wine tasting. In
addition sample some of the famous Heini's cheese and do some shopping.
We'll allow plenty of time at this stop because you will find musical
entertainment there too! Our next stop will take you to Pearl Valley
Cheese where you can do some cheese sampling and more shopping. Our
tour continue with a winery tour, tasting and dinner at Raven's Glenn
Winery. You will indulge in a 5-course dinner with 5 glasses of
wine. The entrees choices include Chicken Mediterranean over pasta,
New York Strip Steak with red skin mashed potatoes, or Vegetable Pasta
with Shrimp. Have a leisurely breakfast on Sunday before checking out.

Eat, Drink, & Be Merry: Wine-Tasting Tour Weekends
2012 Dates : May 18-20, June22-24, July 20-22, August 17-19, September 21-23, November 2-4, December 7-9
This is the crown jewel of wine tours! After breakfast on Saturday
we'll hop on our tour bus for an all-day wine adventure. In the morning
we'll visit a cheese factory, a wine tasting showroom, and a chocolate
factory. A light lunch will be at a winery and include a tour and
tasting. The afternoon stops will include cheese factories, wineries, a
gourmet market with wine and entertainment, and will end with a winery
tour, tasting, and 3-course dinner including 3 wines. You will have
your choice of of a couple of appetizers and entrees. The entree
choices include Lasagna, Tortellini and Eggplant Parmesan! One of the
best parts of the tour is having a designated driver to maneuver the
Amish Country roads and allow you the liberty to taste all of the wine
you care to.

3-Day Weekend Tour Package
April - November 2012
You want a 3-day weekend but you heard that Amish Country closes on Sunday . . . well we've got a solution. Explore Holmes County and the local attractions on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday, after breakfast at the B&B, you will depart for Canton, Ohio on our tour bus. The first stop will be the Pro Football Hall of Fame where you will have a couple of hours to explore on your own before returning to the tour bus. Afterwards we're going to take you to Gervassi Vineyards for a couple of hours. The atmosphere is that of being at an Italian estate. You can purchase a light lunch at their outdoor piazza with a view the lake. You can go inside their Bistro and purchase a gourmet dinner. They have a Market Place where you can shop for gift items and wine. They offer wine tasting for a fee. Just strolling the property or sipping Sangria by the water will be a relaxing treat. We'll return to the B&B where you can sit on a swing or glider and watch the buggies pass down the road. End the evening at our campfire.
