The owners of award-winning Garden Gate Get-A-Way B&B have a new lodging choice as of October 2009. We have opened two romantic, luxury cottage rentals on the same property as the bed and breakfast.
Our cottages in Ohio are perfect for honeymoons and romantic weekend getaways. Lose yourself in luxury with a peninsula fireplace, Roman-style Jacuzzi tub, vaulted ceilings, Amish-made queen bed with pillow-soft mattress and 600 thread-count, cotton-sateen sheets, private bath with luxury amenities and soft, sumptuous bathrobes, a kitchenette with Amish-made cabinets, mini microwave and refrigerator, plus a 23-foot porch with a view of the field of horses next door. The 'icing on the cake' is our location. We are situated on a rolling hill, surrounded by Amish neighbors in a peaceful, relaxing setting and yet we are close to dining, attractions, and shopping.
Start your romantic rendezvous with a welcome cheese & cracker plate that includes locally made cheeses, a chilled bottle of sparkling juice, and a chocolate sampler from Coblentz Chocolate Company.
Cottage guests can sit on the private porch, sip wine, and view the field of horses next door. An outdoor privacy shade will block the view of the neighboring cottage offering a more intimate experience. You are invited to the evening campfire on the property that is also attended by bed and breakfast guests. Bring your own beverage and watch the stars come out.
For guests wanting an early breakfast we offer a Continental Breakfast. We'll put a homemade coffeecake, made from scratch, in your kitchenette. In addition we'll have a bowl of fresh fruit, bottled orange juice, plus we have stocked your cupboards with Wolfgang Puck coffee, assorted Bigelow teas, and hot chocolate that you can make.
For guests who prefer to eat between 9:30 and 10 a.m. we will deliver a full breakfast with an eggs, coffeecake/muffins, and fruit. There will be juice and hot beverages stocked in your cottage to go with your breakfast.
It is our wish that you have a most memorable stay in Amish Country. Your innkeepers live on the same property and are on-call 24/7 to insure that any questions or special services that you may request can be met. We can make fine dining reservations, set up couple massages in your cottage, arrange for special occasion packages, set up a horse-drawn sleigh ride, etc.

COTTAGE POLICIES: Each cottage can accommodate a maximum of 2
adults (Sorry, not appropriate for children). No smoking. No pets. No Candles
inside the cottage. There is a $300 cleaning fee for guests that don't
abide by the no smoking/pets policy. CANCEL POLICY: $25 administrative fee for reservations canceled up to 15 days prior to arrival; Reservations canceled 14 to 8 days prior to arrival will be charged 50% of the reservation cost; No shows, or cancellations 7 days or less prior to arrival date, are subject to payment in full of the entire reservation including special occasion packages/massage reservations.
CHECK-IN: 3:00 - 6:00 p.m.; later by appointment. CHECK-OUT: 11:00 a.m.
Wine & Dine: Wine-Tasting Tour Weekends
2013 Dates: January 25-27, February 15-17, March 15-17, April 19-21, May 17-19, June 21-23, July 19-21, August 23-25, Sept. 20-22, October 18-20, November 15-17, December 6-8
Hop on our tour bus, complete with designated driver, for a fun-filled afternoon and evening. Your first stop will be a gourmet market where you can sample wine, cheese and various foods which enjoying musical entertainment. The next stop will be at one of the oldest cheese factories in Ohio along with a winery where you will be treated to some samples. Our ultimate destination will be Ravens Glenn Winery where our group will take a winery tour, indulge in a wine tasting, and partake in a 4-course meal with a glass of wine to compliment each course.

(Rates include 2 nights lodging, all taxes, breakfast each morning, transportation on wine tour, wine tasting, and 4-course dinner for 2 that includes a glass of wine chosen by the chef for each course) NOTE: Packages must be reserved by phone as our online booking system is for cottage only.
We know that the economy is down and gas prices are up. For the rest of 2013 we have lowered our Cottage rates from $215/$225 to $185/$195. We hope that you can join us!
