One of the most popular features at Garden Gate Get-A-Way Bed & Breakfast is our evening campfire. When all of the shops and restaurants close, you can retreat back to our B & B and unwind around the warmth of campfire. We always have marshmallows on hand to roast, and this is a great time to share your daily adventures with other guests.
Along the brick path that leads you to our 5 garden-themed guest rooms, we have planted 3 seasons of perennials that welcome you with bursts of color! If you want a quiet moment, you can escape to the glider under the arbor in our side garden. Hear the gentle sounds of water trickling down the fountain and take in the beauty of the flowers. Our home sits on a rolling hill surrounded by Amish farms. You are bound to see many buggies pass by our bed & breakfast.
Each morning, you will awaken to the aroma of freshly baked goods. We serve a breakfast buffet each morning. A sample breakfast might include Bacon-Egg-Swiss Puff Pastry made with locally produced cheese, homemade Amish Granola Bread, Blueberry Streusel Coffeecake made from scratch, homemade Strawberry Streusel Muffins, fruit & yogurt parfaits, cereal, juice, & coffee.
We can arrange for Amish Back Roads Tours, dinner in an Amish home, a couple's massage or spa services, a golf package, or horseback riding. We recycle! Our bed and breakfast is concerned about the environment and we do our best to protect it. We recycle paper, plastic and glass items. We use "green" cleaners. We donate used bars of soaps to a charity. We offer guests staying 2 nights to re-use their towels and not change their sheets in order to cut down on water and laundry detergent and costs. We do what we can to help the environment.
