Ohio is full of award-winning wine especially when it comes to our area wineries that offer tastings. Locally brewed beer is also popular.
Baltic Mill Winery is in an historic flour mill in the heart of Baltic, Ohio. The inside looks like a barn with rustic wood, offering a very warm ambiance. Some of the pieces from the old mill make up part of the decor in the tasting rooms. They opened in October 2014 with 5 wines and plan to expand from there. They sell a cheese platter if you want to sit and have a snack while sipping on a bottle.

Breitenbach Winery is Ohio’s 2nd Largest Winery. Their signature wine is Dandelion Wine, a sweet dessert wine. You name a fruit, Breitenbach makes a wine in that flavor! If you prefer dry wines they offer a Merlot, Chardonnay, Cabernet, and more. On summer weekends, they offer an outdoor BBQ, and at other times you will find light lunches and cheese plates on the menu.

Gateway Place is a wine tasting showroom that features almost every wine made in Ohio. In addition you will find other wines as well. The staff are really good at helping you pick out wines that you may enjoy. Stop in for a wine tasting, have a picnic on the deck and be sure to take a few bottles home.

Heinis Gourmet Market is an extension of Heinis Cheese. From wines to beer tasting to cheese to an entire array of foods, you will find everything made in Ohio! Herb & Carol are particularly impressed with the variety of wines offered, especially the dry wines. Don’t despair if you like sweet wine because that is one of their specialties. On Saturday they offer musical entertainment.

Millersburg Brewing Company is a local brewery with unique flavors of beer. They are located in an historic building on Main Street and offer wine tasting as well. They currently do not have a food license but will allow patrons to bring food over from Bags Sports Pub next door.

Ravens Glenn Winery is the favorite of the wineries in Ohio for Innkeepers, Herb & Carol. Whether you prefer dry wine or sweet wines you will find something you like among their award-winning wines. Save this stop for later in the day when you can stay and indulge in dinner in their Italian restaurant. Your servers do a great job of helping you pair wine and food. Located on the Tuscarawas River with great ambiance.

School House Winery is located inside a 1-room school house and all of their wines have a school-themed name. They offer appetizers, sandwiches, and pizza in addition to wine tasting. On weekends they have free musical entertainment. There is an outside patio area to enjoy when the weather cooperates.

Silver Moon Winery is just around the corner from Breitenbach and Swiss Heritage Wineries. They sell red, white, and dessert wine and their juice to make the wine is imported from around the world. They have a nice sitting area with couches, tables, and chairs to relax with a glass of wine. They offer both sweet and dry wines.

Swiss Heritage Winery is located inside Broad Run Cheese House. You can learn about cheese making and purchase some cheese as well as do some wine tasting while you are here. They are just down the road from Breintenbach Winery.

Winery at Perennial Vineyards is housed in an old dairy barn that dates back to the 1800s. They have Scottish Highlanders on the property that greet you when you pull in the driveway. They are surrounded by beautiful countryside. You can sit in their rustic dining area with huge fireplace and partake in some specialty pizzas to go with your wine.
